A leak and a good read.

I recently chanced on this posted on a friend's facebook wall:

Here's the link. Not sure how long it will stay up or how legitimate it is, but I've my own copy now.

It's quite interesting (and new) to me how organized these people are. Amidst the rather civilized debate we're having over whether HPB should again include the links to gay support groups it had originally put on its FAQ, this somewhat dated document sheds light on how far behind we are in pulling together as one. That is not to say we are not doing our best.

Nevertheless, this document does provide good insight into the inner workings of the people who are against our supposed lifestyle. This paper is apparently published by LoveSingapore, which is headed by a hardheaded Lawrence Khong from HPB fame/infamy. Still, there's honestly a lot we can learn from them. There seems to be great organization in the way they do things and the people there really do want to make it easy for their followers to make their stand. It might perhaps be time we learn from them and build a proper network we can call our own, so we'll have something to fall back on when we need help.

However, the language used in the paper does seem to remind me a little too much of Hong Kong drama serials - overly melodramatic. Makes a good laugh, if you like. Though I'd like to think their way of talking could be a way for them to manifest in themselves a certain group status, in a way that everyone who supports them would like to speak like that. It's kinda like how we enjoy using technical jargon with our friends who know them so that (a) we keep others out, and (b) we feel special and entitled. Nevertheless, just my opinion; don't take my word for it.

Go on, click the link and have a good read.

I leave you to make your own conclusions.
